Workshop report

The workshop was fun! We spoke for 20 minutes about the options with a mailing list: what to do and why, the various options.

Then we focused on mailman - I showed everyone how to install a new mailing list (the geeky way), and then showed people how to set up a simple mailman mailing list.

What was good

Laura; Good introduction and run through of the various technologies for setting up a mailing list. Clear, concise run through from the initial set up to how one can control and manage members/privacy options and attachments etc

What could have been better

The most useful bit of information was

Laura; Observing how the list is set up, explaining aliases etc and the run through of options on the administrative interface
